reeling newspaper industry

given circulation declines and a growing public distrust, the newspaper industry can't stand much more bad news.

unfortunately, given the recent box office slump, movie studios may review their mega-advertising budgets (entertainment in general comprises ~14% of newspaper revenue). it's the same old story of demographics and bang-for-the-buck. kids don't check the newspaper for movie info.
